Here are three pictures of the 'Old City.' I tell you, they don't make them like that anymore! I posted a story about this trip in the past so just do a search on this site for 'Prague' in order to read more about it.
Russ, My daughter & I visited Prague in Sept. 2009. Just great. Took a side trip for a day to my grandfather's village in Sarisske Dravce, Saros, Slovakia. I was just in awe of the whole experience. St. Vitas Cathedral in the Prague Castle - WOW! Am going back to Slovakia in July on Helene's tour. Barb
I've never been there, thanks for sharing with us your photos, Prague looks incredibly fascinating! Do you know Marco is in Florence? He is having a great time with his classmates in that wonderful city. He is very enthusiastic! :) Have you ever been there?
Someday, I know it will happen. I hope I can meet you in Catania so I can experience the culture there. I imagine it's different from the mainland and especially northern Italy where I am most familiar.
Of course it will happen, I'm sure :) Catania is a very beautiful city, and its culture is very different from northern Italy, completely different. Sicily is a very charming place and its scenery is unique :)
It also has a lot of history as I recall. I think Sicily has welcomed (and sometimes hasn't) Phonecians, Greeks, Arabs, etc. It is my dream to visit there!
These pictures were snapped in November, 2007 in Djibouti (East Africa). More specifically, they were taken in and near Arta, a small town on the coast. The first picture shows me posing on a hillside and the next one shows my coworker, Sa'ad. The final one shows me being attacked by some fierce beasts but, don't worry! I survived.
prauge is sill rimeless

Lilia,
ReplyDeleteThere should be plenty more I'll add in the next few days. I never made it to Florence, I spent most of my time in Venezia! Tell Marco I said 'hi.'
Thank you, Russ. He came back last Friday, you can see his photos on facebook :)
ReplyDeleteDid he bring you back any souvenirs?
ReplyDeleteYes, a Florence fridge magnet. I love collecting fridge magnets :)
ReplyDeleteHe is a very thoughtful boy.
ReplyDeleteYes, he is :) He is also a good student and a very sensitive boy.
ReplyDeleteIt's all because the parents bring their children up well.
ReplyDeleteOh, thanks Russ! I hope to meet you very soon, it would be wonderful. Marco can't wait to meet you, really! As well as me and Carlo:)
