Travel The World

I know I've been negligent in posting to this blog the last few years.  I blame this on the general malaise I've felt due to the COVID situation and teleworking from home.  Another reason is not having any travel opportunities about which to write.  Having said that, I'll be retiring from my job in about three months and will be hitting the road once again.  I'll try to post more in the interim.

Everyone by now is aware of recent events in Afghanistan.  I have a personal connection to the country having worked there in '08 and having continued to work with many Afghan military members since that time.  From my experiences, I have to say that the Afghans are a noble people and deserve far better than fate has delivered.  I pray for them and hope they can somehow overcome this latest setback. The picture was taken from the Kabul International Airport (KAIA) during my time there.       

 Wow!  I've been working from home since 25 March and with no end in sight.  Minimal interaction with the rest of humanity may explain why I've not posted in a while.  I'll try to do better from now on.

It's been a long time since I last posted on this blog.  I seem to have this pattern where it's either feast or famine in that regard.  Anyway, I should be posting more now since I've been teleworking from home since 25 March.  I kind of like teleworking in that it helps me avoid certain difficult people on site.  More later . . .
