Final Days

Well, I will be leaving T'bilisi early Saturday morning. It's been a great three months and I wish I could stay here much longer. You know, when this opportunity came up, I almost didn't pursue it. There were so many reasons why I should not have left the US at that time and yet, for some reason I decided to come anyway. Now that I've had all these fantastic experiences and met all these wonderful people, I have to wonder if fate had a hand in my decision. My life and perception of life have been altered so much in the last three months. Thank goodness I followed my instincts and came.

So, my body will be leaving Georgia but my heart will always be here. I wish to say goodbye to the wonderful friends I've made and to thank them for the generosity they've all shown me.

Until the next time . . .

Russ

  2. Margherita!

You cannot imagine how painful it is for me to leave. These are the most wonderful people I've ever met in my life. Even complete strangers are like your best friend. If you do come here some day, please share your pictures with me so I can live vicariously through you, okay?

Do you like Texas? That's where I will be for a while until I return to Georgia or travel somewhere else. So, I will be posting pictures mostly from there for the next year. Please don't stop reading the blog!

I fly out tonight but will be back up on the site by Sunday. I'll talk to you then. Russ

  3. Oh Russ...I know you're sad for leaving this wonderful place, I'm sure you'll come back there soon. I can understand you, Georgia is part of your life now and part of your heart is there, think about those magical moments you lived there, I know it's really hard to leave a place we love so much, but, please be strong and think about life, our best gift 'cause it's full of surprises every day, maybe you'll be back there very very soon :)
Hope to hear from you soon.

  4. Lilia,

Thank you for the comforting words. I have some really good friends there and will stay in touch with them.

By the way, I have several items to mail to you, Carlo, and Marco. I'll send them out first thing on Monday.
