Crocodile Farm!

These pictures were snapped back in '01 at a crocodile farm just outside of Bangkok.  I had thought of jumping in and saving the person being swallowed by the croc' but decided that you just have to let nature takes its course sometimes.  Right???

  1. OMG!!! Crocodiles!!! What would you do if you were in the middle of a river and suddenly you saw a crocodile swimming quickly towards you?
My students have just read an article about crocodiles...
Please do this animal quiz and see if you would survive :)
    a) I would try to swim to the bank as quickly as possible.
    b) I wouldn't move. I'd stay still and wait for the crocodile to go away.
    c) I would try to hit the crocodile in the face.

  2. I think 'b' is correct. I know Crocodile Dundee played dead and escaped after the croc buried him in the dirt!

  3. I'm sorry...it isn't the correct answer in a survival expert's opinion. The correct answer is "c". Your only hope is to try to hit it in the eye or on the nose. If you did this and you were very lucky, the crocodile would open its mouth and give you time to escape. I didn't know that :)
The survival expert also said :" It's very difficult, although not impossible, to survive a crocodile attack.":(

  4. Wow! I would definitely not have survived. Hopefully, you will never have to use this expertise!

  6. I think you are too soft-hearted to do such a thing:)

  7. Well, I think you're right, but who knows? :) Are there crocodiles ( alligators I suppose) in Texas?

  8. I don't think so, but there may be some in eastern Texas where the climate is more similar to Louisiana's. I'm sure there are a lot in Florida.
